Bhuj
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India. Bhuj is a city and a municipality in Kachchh district in the state of Gujarat, India. It was established as capital of the former princely state Kachchh by Rao Khengarji I in 1549. Presently, it is a district headquarter of Kachchh ditrict which is second largest district of India. Old town was surrounded by fort which has five major gates and one small gate. Much of the fort wall has fallen down due to recurring earth-quakes in this region. Last major earth quake occurred in this region was on January, 26, 2001. The town is home to one of the first Swaminarayan Sampraday Temple. Bhuj is connected to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi and other major cities of India by trains. It has domestic airport recently named as Shyamji Krishna Verma, Bhuj Airport from where daily flights operate to Mumbai. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
