Valsad
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India. Valsad also known as Bulsar, is a city and a municipality in Valsad district in the Indian state of Gujarat. The city holds a collectorat, a district court, police headquarters with a historic prison, and is governed by a municipality headed by the city mayor. The former Prime Minister of India, Morarji Desai Bhulabhai Desai,and Chandrakant Kapurchand Shah a notable freedom fighter, were from Valsad. Also, the parents of British rocker Freddie Mercury were from Valsad. The city and surrounding areas, once famous for its farms and trading of Alphonso mangos, still retain this business as one of the main segments of their economy. Valsad had a population of 68,825. It has an average elevation of 13 metres. The sea-coast town of Tithal on the Arabian sea is about 5 kilometers to the west of city of Valsad, and is flocked by the young and elderly inhabitants of the city during the evenings. Tithal also has a temple dedicated to Sai Baba of Shirdi and another of Swaminarayan sect on the beach, which draws many devotees and tourists from the District and the surrounding areas.
It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
