Sindhanur

It has an average elevation of 377 metres. As of 2001 India census, Sindhnur had a population of 61,292 inhabitants. The males constitute 51 percent of the population and females 49 percent. Sindhnur has an average literacy rate of 54 percent, lower than the national average of 59.5 percent, male literacy is 63 percent and female literacy is 44 percent. In Sindhnur, 15 percent of the population is under 6 years of age.
