Maebashi
Japan is an island country in East Asia. It is located in the Pacific Ocean it lies to the east of China, Korea, and Russia, stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea in the south. Its capital and largest city is Tokyo. It has the world's 10th largest population. It is world's largest international creditor and is the sixth largest exporter and importer and is a member of the United Nations. And it is a leading nation in the fields of scientific research, technology, machinery, and medical research with the world's third largest budget for research and development. Maebashi is the capital city of Gunma in Japan. Gunma is located in the northwest corner of the Kanto region on Honshu Island, Japan. The city was founded on April 1, 1892. On December 5, 2004 the former town of Ogo and former villages of Kasukawa and Miyagi from Seta District merged into the city. In 2003, the population of the city was 321,813 and an area of 241.22 square kilometers. Maebashi city is surrounded by the Akagi and Jyo-Shinetsu Mountains. Maebashi has a typical inland climate with little precipitation. Maebashi celebrated its 100 year anniversary on 4th April, 1992. There Festivals are Hatsuichi Festival, Tanabata Festival in mid-July and Maebashi Festival etc. The transportation in the city is provided by Rail through East Japan Railway Company by Joetsu Line and Ryomo Line.
