Fuji

As of 2003, the city had an estimated population of 236,706 and the density of 1,105.64 persons per square kilometers. The total area is 214.09 square kilometers. The city was founded on November 1, 1966. Fuji is an industrial center in eastern Shizuoka prefecture. It is home to numerous paper factories. Fuji is served by the Tokaido shinkansen at Shin-Fuji station.
