Kota
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India. Kota is a city in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. Situated on the Chambal River, the city is the trade center for an area in which cotton, millet, wheat, coriander and oilseeds are grown and industries include cotton and oilseed milling, textile weaving, distilling, dairying, and the manufacture of metal handcrafts. The rail junction, a road hub, lies 4.8 kilometers to the north. Kota is also famous for its distinctive style of painting. Kota is well known for its saris, stone products and a vibrant education sector. In fact, the numerous coaching centres like Insight, Allen, Bansal Classes etc. which prepare aspirants for India's elite engineering and medical colleges have given a totally new character and identity to the city. Kota is currently giving the best results in the engineering and medical undergraduate courses admission exams. Kota stone is blue in colour and is used for floor and walls of both residensial and business building. It is a cheap alternative to marble.
