Daman
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India. Daman is a city and a municipal council in Daman district in the state of Daman and Diu, India. Although the Indian Air Force operates Daman Airport there is no public airport in the area. It has an average elevation of 5 metres. As of 2001 India India, Daman had a population of 35,743. Males constitute 53 percent of the population and females 47 percent. Daman has an average literacy rate of 76 percent, higher than the national average of 59.5 percent, male literacy is 81 percent and, female literacy is 70 percent. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
