Jammu
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India.
Jammu pronunciation is one of the three regions comprising the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu borders Kashmir to the north, Ladakh to the east, Himachal Pradesh to the south and Azad Kashmir to the west. Jammu is the only region in Kashmir that has a Hindu majority population. 67 percent of Jammu's population practices Hinduism while 24 percent practices Islam and 4 percent Sikhism.
