Ghaziabad

India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. India is a union of twenty-eight states and seven federally-governed union territories. New Delhi is the capital of India.

Ghaziabad is an industrial city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located about 1.5 kilometers East of the Hindon river. It is 19 kilometers East of Delhi and 46 kilometers South-West of Meerut. The city houses the headquarters of the Ghaziabad district. The population of the city was 1,264,968 inhabitants in the year 2001.

Ghaziabad is situated about 1.5 kilometers from the Hindon river. Ganga, Yamuna and Hindon are the main rivers flowing through the district and they are filled with water throughout the year. Other than these there are some small rain fed rivers, prominent among them is the Kali river.

Ghaziabad is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in India worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of India.
