Araria
India officially the Republic of India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous liberal democracy in the world. Araria is a city and a municipality in Araria district in the state of Bihar, India. It has an average elevation of 47 meters. As of 2001 India census India, Araria had a population of 60,594. Males constitute 54 percent of the population and females 46 percent. Araria has an average literacy rate of 50 percent, lower than the national average of 59.5 percent, with 62 percent of the males and 38 percent of females literate. Araria district is one of the districts of Bihar state, India, and Araria town is the administrative headquarters of this district. Araria district is a part of Purnia division. Araria as a district was formed in January 1990 as one of the administrative districts of under Purnia Division. During the British period, the area where one Mr. Forbes's Bungalow was located was called Residential area, which people called as R. Area. Over a period of time, R. Area acquired the pronunciation Arariya. It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
