Anklesvar is one of the famous cities in India. Anklesvar is a city and a municipality in Bharuch district in the state of Gujarat, India. The city is located approximately ten kilometers from Bharuch. As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Anklesvar had a population of 67,952.
Ankleshwar has an industrial township called G.I.D.C., Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation, which is the biggest industrial township in Asia. Today, Ankleshwar has over 100 big and small chemical plants. These chemical plants produce insecticides, speciality chemicals, and paint. The very famous schools in Ankleshwar are Shree Gattu Vidyalaya is one of the oldest schools of Ankleshwar, offers education from Kindergarten to higher secondary.
The pharmaceutical company Cadila Healthcare has a plant to make active pharmaceutical ingredient in Ankleshwar. The big Multi National firm Hoechst India Limited has a plant to make Rabies vaccine along with other Agro and Pharma divisions. The division is now known as Chiron Behring Vaccine India.
Ankleshwar is well connected by Indian National Highway 8 and by the Western Railway Division of Indian Railways. There are many parks like The Millennium Park, GIDC Water Reservoir, Sports center, Swimming pools, well equipped library and other recreation centres in G.I.D.C area. Hospitals include the Jayaben Modi Hosp. which is the biggest in Ankleshwar and has state-of-the art technology. The Sanjivanii Hospital is also large and one of the popular and is served by pediatricians and physicians.
Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. Ankleshwar enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
